Best Places to Catch a View in Sydney

Sydney has some spectacular views visitors must check out. So once you’ve booked your accommodation in one of the best serviced apartments Sydney has to offer, start writing a checklist of these must see locations. You won’t be disappointed:

Mrs Macquarie’s Chair

The view from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair is an uninterrupted scene of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Perfect during the day, spectacular at night. The is a favourite spot for wedding photographs, special occasion picnics and of course, watching the best new years fireworks in the world!

Milson’s Point

If you take a train to Milson’s Point, and turn left as soon as you leave the station, you’ll see immediately why this area is a great spot for enjoying the sites of Sydney. It offers a close up of the bridge, whilst still having a good view of the opera house in the distance. Sydney’s famous Luna Park is also here. The entrance face of the park making for some great shots at night.

Balls Head

Located just a short walk from Waverton Station, Balls Head offers perfect lush bush reserve surrounds, with a great view of the city, the harbour and Balmain as well.

Circular Quay

Circular Quay offers some great views of the city and the harbour. Take a stroll around the waters edge to the Opera House and check out the view of the harbour bridge. Taking a ferry across to Manly on a beautiful summer day is the perfect way to experience the harbour and the surrounding sites of the city.

The Harbour Bridge

Of course the view from the harbour bridge is one that must be experienced! If you don’t feel that you can climb to the top, why not take the stairs up one of the pylons to the side of the bridge? You won’t be disappointed.

Sydney Tower

Sydney Tower offers the best uninterrupted views of the entire city in all directions as it rotates 360 degrees. The Sydney Tower is the highest point in Sydney. If you dare, take a tour to the very top of the tower and go out over the city on a glass platform. It’s really an incredible experience!

The best way to take in everything Sydney has to offer is to make a list of all the places you want to go, and then give yourself some time to simply go wandering. There are some great places you’ll stumble upon in The Rocks, the oldest area of Sydney, or you may want to take a wander up to Paddington for an afternoon and experience Sydney shopping at it’s finest.

The best thing about Sydney is that if you are staying in one of the centrally located apartments Sydney has to offer, you are just a short walk or bus ride to all of the above locations, meaning you’ll spend more time enjoying yourself and less time getting from A to B.
